Cecilia Lisa Eliceche
Cecilia Lisa Eliceche was born in Bahia Blanca, Argentina where she started her training in ballet and contemporary dance at the local Conservatoire of Dance. From 2004 to 2006 she lived in Madrid: studied Contemporary in the RCPD (Real conservatorio Profecional de Danza) and Ballet with Victor Ullate. She created and performed Play by Pablo Esbert Lilienfeld.
From 2006 she moved to Brussels to attend the Training and Research Cycles at PARTS. During 2008 she went to NY as an ex-change student at Movement Research and to collaborate in the creation of DD Dorvillier's CPAU, Get Ready!.At school in the search for a way of expressing her political concerns she created Mi Cacerola and Trio One (in collaboration with Peter Savel and Anneleen Keppens). As a choregraphical practice she created the quintet D.A.N.C.E. The time lapse opera is her work with Elisa Yvelin focused on vantage point and the medium of dance from a very classical perspective.
Currently she works as a freelance dancer in Brussels. Cecilia collaborates frequently with Eleanor Bauer for AD4TNA and Tentative Assembly, with Claire Croize Chant Eloigne and Etienne Guilloteau, in New York for Heather Kravas' Green Surround and Quartet .
On equal grounds, she collaborates with Pablo Esbert Lilienfeld, Elisa Yvelin, Guiomar Campos and Manon Santkin while also being deeply influenced by them.
As choreographer she created Cow's Theory with the support of Stuk, Workspace Brussels, Forum Danca and Jardin d'Europe. With this work she won the second prize in the prix jardin d'europe “for its intense physical investigation of construction dynamics and social relationships”.
Cecilia is developing a series of 2 week dance researches called "Dance Concerts". 'DC nº2' was done thanks to impuls-tanz, vienna, and 'DC nº2' thanks to WorkSpace and Monty. She continues with this project as well as preparing a new long piece to be premiered in march 2013 at Stuk.
