Guo Rui studied at P.A.R.T.S (Brussels, Belgium) from 2006 to 2010. He came back to China and he has been a freelance artist since October 2010.
Guo is interested at communication between art and public. He is looking for the importance of dance in the society of China. The projects he has done included
For Basic Needs (with the local people of Chongqing, 2010), Pass Through (a dance practise in Xiamen Academy for Performing Arts), Reproduction of Forms (Guangdong Teachers College of Foreign Language and Arts, 2011), In-Between (Guangdong Modern Dance Company, 2012), Positioning@Guangzhou (G.M.D.C,2012), The Community (with the local people of Guangzhou, 2012) and It pains, But it doesn’t hurt (Times Museum Community Festival, Guangzhou 2012).
