THROWBACK TO THE ONE-WEEK CHOREOGRAPHY & COMPOSITION WORKSHOP GUIDED BY METTE INGVARTSEN

The second year MA STUDIOS students concluded 2023 with an intensive one-week choreography & composition workshop guided by Mette Ingvartsen.
In this first workshop, dancer & choreographer Mette Ingvartsen shared her interest in dance as a social phenomenon and practice.

On one hand the students did a series of writings & discussion sessions departing from their own work and practices. These sessions were aimed at sharing experiences as makers, methodologies, concerns, and reflections that have emerged from their current artistic projects, but also to expand the network of relations that they build around their work.

On the other hand, Mette shared a new research topic as an extension of her past interest in questions around sexuality and nudity: researching notions of love as an intimate and private territory, but also as a concept that could be used to understand social and political relations.
