BECOME A FRIEND OF P.A.R.T.S.
Support the dancers and choreographers at P.A.R.T.S. in achieving their dreams. Friends of P.A.R.T.S. aims to raise funds to provide scholarships for students in need of financial assistance. At P.A.R.T.S., admission is based solely on artistic merit, without consideration of the applicant’s financial background.

What are our needs?

The average cost of studying at P.A.R.T.S. for one year is €15.000. This includes the annual tuition fee of €3.000 and living expenses of €12.000 for a 10-month period (covering travel, accommodation, living costs, medical expenses, leisure activities, ...). In addition, there is a one-time registration fee of €6.000 upon starting at P.A.R.T.S.

As P.A.R.T.S. hosts an international student body, most students are not eligible for financial support from their home countries. Furthermore, the study costs at P.A.R.T.S., combined with the average living expenses in Brussels, are typically much higher than those in other countries. For Belgian students, the costs at P.A.R.T.S. are significantly higher compared to other university or arts school programs. You can read more about the cost of living in Belgium here.

P.A.R.T.S. selects students based on talent and artistic criteria, without considering socio-economic background. The school also organises worldwide auditions, actively reaching out to regions where access to higher dance education is limited. This deliberate effort to foster a diverse student community means that many students cannot complete their studies without financial aid. For some, a scholarship is the only way to access higher education in dance.

Students seeking a scholarship at P.A.R.T.S. must demonstrate their efforts to secure funding from other sources. They are required to complete a detailed application form, including supporting documentation such as family tax reports. Based on the available budget, P.A.R.T.S. allocates scholarships to those in greatest need, with amounts ranging from €3.000 (covering only tuition) to €15.000 (covering tuition and living expenses). While students are encouraged to take on part-time work, this is often limited due to the full-time, intensive nature of the program.

P.A.R.T.S. aims to maintain an annual scholarship budget of €150.000 for the Bachelor Programme Training. For the one-time registration fee, the school also offers a limited number of study loans.

How do we work?

FRIENDS of P.A.R.T.S. collects a variety of donations, ranging from small contributions to larger gifts from maecenases, including support from individuals as well as cultural and educational foundations in Belgium and abroad. All funds raised are fully dedicated to scholarships, with no portion used for administrative or personnel costs.

Tax exemption

The fund FRIENDS OF P.A.R.T.S. is officially recognised by the King Baudouin Foundation. This means donations higher than €40 are tax deductible when coming from Belgium, France, The Netherlands, the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg or Denmark.
