Haman Mpadire UG

Haman Mpadire (totemic clan: MUSHROOM) is an artist, researcher born in Eastern Uganda, originally from Busoga tribe. His artistic practices are centered around the question of what it means to be a better human being in the world where we’re almost forgetting to live. Furthermore, he conducts experimental research around colonial systems shaping societies, culture in Uganda thus diving into the practice of animism as the final frontier to restoration and justices offering.

Resident artist 2024-2025 at Columbia University | Institute of ideas and imagination Paris, PHD candidate at Academy of Fine Arts Vienna, hold Masters degree of Arts, Literature and Languages in Dance from CCN - Paul Valéry University, Diploma in contemporary dances of Africa from Ecole des stables, Pina Bausch Fellow 2023. etc…
