Malik Zaryaty BE
Director of The Movement Theory, Malik Zaryaty is a Belgian dancer, teacher and choreographer whose work is defined by a specific will to create innovation and uniqueness through movement. Falling in love with urban dance at the age of 14 years old, the young dancer then moves to London three years later to study ballet, jazz and contemporary dance at Lewisham College.
Admitted at Laban Conservatoire of Music and Dance in 2015, Malik had to quit the program during his first year due to a lack of financial support. Between 2015 and 2019, his aim to work as a freelancer and extend his knowledge led him to travel, train and work in France, Holland, Germany, Denmark, Norway, Greenland, USA and Japan.
In 2018, he created The Movement Theory Cie and the team took part in a few TV shows, also winning several competitions in Belgium, Spain, France, Poland, Greece, Italy and Switzerland.
Nowadays, Malik works as a professional dancer/ teacher/choreographer in Europe performing and creating for artists on tour, videoclips, commercials, stages and gigs, etc. His main focus remains on The Movement Theory’s work and performances, also teaching the company’s training program in different countries in Europe.
