In-house physiotherapist

Since April 2025, P.A.R.T.S has welcomed an in-house physiotherapist, Zoë Brouwers, to enhance the physical support provided to students. Zoë is present on a monthly basis and provides individual consultations as well as group sessions on specific topics when relevant and needed (e.g. shin splints).

The in-house physiotherapist also conducts the screenings of the students at the beginning of the school year to identify any potential physical issues, punctually observes the classes and is in continuous dialogue with the Body Studies teachers as well as the tutors at P.A.R.T.S. to provide input and expertise on topics such as injury prevention.

This support is offered to the students and aims to be complementary to the external network of practitioners that P.A.R.T.S. has with osteopaths, sports doctors and other physiotherapists. The appointment system with the in-house physiotherapist is coordinated by the student administrator.

Learn more about Zoë Brouwers

Zoë is our in-house physiotherapist. After her masters of sports physiotherapy and postgraduate degree of manual therapy, she delved deeper into subjects regarding a dancer’s wellbeing such as high-level training principles, lifestyle medicine, behavioural change and coaching.

Outside of P.A.R.T.S., she works as a dance physio and teacher at Kunsthumaniora Brussel, as a physio at Waves Leuven and as a freelance professional dancer in the theatre - as well as the commercial field.

Throughout the past few years, she’s gained experience treating chronic pain and psychosomatic complaints, which strengthened her affinity for the mind-body connection. Zoë values a person centred, holistic approach. She empowers the dancers by not just taking care of them but also by providing information and guidance regarding their health and goals.
