Marta Coronado ES

Marta Coronado studied dance at the Official Dance School of the Government of Navarra and worked as a dancer in the Yauzkari company, José Lainez. She completed her studies at P.A.R.T.S. and later she started working in the company Rosas of Anna Teresa De Keersmaeker. Since 1998 she has danced in: Drumming, I said I, In real time, Rain, April me, Bitches Brew, Kassandra, Rain Raga D ’un soir un jour, Mozart concert Arias and Steve Right evening. In 2002 she received the BESSIE Award (New York Dance and Performance Award).
In 2008 she began her career as co-director of the Rosas repertoire at the P.A.R.T.S school and from 2011 she co-directed the Rosas repertoire pieces at the Lyon Opera and the Paris Opera as rehearsal director, a position she held until the 2020.
She has taught at PARTS, Amsterdam Theater School, Festival Deltebre Dansa, Impulstanz Vienna, La Raffinerie, Última Vez/Wim Vandekeybus, Cie Thor/Thierry Smits, Ballet Nacional de Marseille, Rosas, Les ballets C de la B and La Faktoria, among others.
Her choreographic work began in 2009, when she was invited to create Fueradeleje and Dantzaz Konpainia at La Salle Singapore. In 2011 she co-created the House of Bertha collective and in 2013 she was part of the PHD in one night project. In 2018 she created El Silencio de las Flores. In 2019 she worked as a guest choreographer at the Opera La Monnaie for the opera Orfeo and Manjun and provided choreographic assistance for the recreation of West Side Story on Broadway (New York) with Anna Teresa de Keersmaeker. This 2022 she has created Noche Barroca.
Since 2019 she has co-founded and co-directed La Faktoria Choreographic Center and in 2022 she has created the TRY International Training Program for Young Dancers in Lucca (Italy), where she is the artistic director of the center.
