JUDITH DHONDT & URTĖ GROBLYTĖ / DUST
A collaboration between Urtė Groblytė & Judith Dhondt that branches into two performances (Dust and A LOVELY CONSTRUCTION SITE) and is bound together by a shared reading and writing practice. Together they have created a soil to let their performative works bloom out off.
DUST
Something approaches me… I become not myself but Huh mixed with somebody.
Who is it? Is it Hmm? Huh mixed with Hmm. Huhhmm.
From the moment my eyeballs move towards this other- I am … I am … who am I?
(based on a fragment from The Waves by Virginia Woolf)
Hmm & Huh transform into one and fall apart multiples -
desiring their own form that splits and merges.
With an open mouth they are waiting for words, to catch them -
language pushes them together and pulls them apart.
Dust wants to dive deeper into ideas of symbiosis from a non-harmonic point of view, approaching the self as an erotic body intimately containing multiple beings.
